Hey Guys!
My name is Deion Bangudi, and I'm a junior here at EKU. I'm an Interpreting major and I am also thinking about adding on a minor in either children and family studies, or communication. The main reason I took this class is because it was apart of my required classes. But after attending the first class I think it will really come in handy!
One of the parts of this course that I find is of great benefit to students is having students with a variety of majors in the class. The variety of experiences and perspectives creates an opportunity to mirror so many real world situations. The key to students maximizing the benefit of this course if being intentional in how they personalize it. I'm confident you'll find ways to use the material in this course to increase your knowledge and understanding of those who are d/Deaf so that you can be the best interpreter you can be.
